A Wander Through The Mind
One mans journey to rediscover life after a breakdown.
I started with Oil paints and I loved the way it onto the canvas, but unfortunately my skin didn't like mediums used with the paint, that combined with painting in a room that had no storage I had to change to Acrylic paints.
I have ended up with a 'chemistry set' to try and replicate the fluidity of the oil paints and mimic the blending but still it feels like a race against the clock. On the flip side acrylics are quicker to paint layers, the oils take a week per layer, and mistakes can be covered quickly.
You can start with the cheap paints, but I would recommend fewer colours from the Student range, this will decrease the frustration. The colours will be richer as well.
